One Health Research and Evaluation, 2025 – present

I am working on several projects: 1) leading a final evaluation of the One Health Centre in Africa; 2) leading a manuscript on assessing research use and uptake; 3) developing a monitoring and evaluation framework for phase II of the CGIAR One Health Initiative; and, 4) leading a manuscript on climate risk assessment in animal health contexts.

Qualitative gender-based analysis (GBA) for the CGIAR HER+ Initiative, 2022

The HER+ team conducted 145 interviews and focus group discussions in Tanzania and Nigeria to explore gender norms and climate change impacts. I led analysis of the qualitative data, which involved developing the codebook, coding the data in NVivo, drafting issue packs, and presenting the findings.

Review of agri-health and One Health research, 2021

I worked with a team to synthesize learnings from CGIAR agriculture-health research programs in Southeast Asia from 2000 to 2020. Additionally, I supported the development of a manuscript exploring One Health action in Vietnam.

CanWaCH technical guidance note, 2021

Baastel International developed a technical guidance note on gender, climate change, and environmental mainstreaming into global health programming for a network. I led the desk review and survey analysis to understand the needs and priorities of members of the network around mainstreaming.

Rapid review of Health in All Policies COVID-19 project, 2020

I worked with a team of graduate students to conduct a rapid review of indirect health impacts of COVID-19 prevention measures. I supported the team in integrating gender and other equity considerations into the review.

Scoping review for “You need ID to get ID” project, 2020

I worked with faculty across several universities in Canada on a scoping review on the barriers and facilitators to obtaining identification in North America.
